EZ Wick Setter

The EZ Wick Setter is fast becoming the candle maker's best friend. Not only will this innovative product center and seat the wicks in your containers, it will speed up your process.

The "Single" EZ Wick Setter was introduced in September of 2004. There was nothing like it on the market and wicking is one of those frustrating tasks that candle makers don't like doing. It brought container wicking out of the dark ages and into the twenty-first century. Now, even the candle makers children (or even hubby) get in on the action... and LIKE IT!

About a year later, the "Multi" EZ Wick Setter was introduced. If single wicking was difficult, double and triple wicking was next to impossible. The "Multi" makes it quick and easy.

We're not saying that you can't get your wicks centered in your containers unless you happen to be "centrally challenged". But the real value in this great little tool is that it is a tremendous time saver. You will be able to wick your containers in less than half the time!

Single EZ Wick Setter Instructions

Set-up:
1. Loosen the thumb screw on the collar so that it will slide freely on the stainless steel wick tube.
2. Insert the EZ Wick Setter into the container to be wicked
3. Ensure that the wick tube is resting on the bottom of the container.
4. Push down on the collar, depressing the spring until it is fully compressed.
5. Tighten the thumb screw until snug. (Do not over tighten.)
6. Your EZ Wick Setter is now set up for that size container.

Wicking:
1. Attach wick stickers (or other adhesive) to wick tabs.
2. Insert a tabbed wick into the stainless steel wick tube until the wick tab is resting against the magnet on the wick tube.
3. Set the EZ Wick Setter on the container to be wicked.
4. Depress the knob on top of the EZ Wick Setter until the wick tab firmly contacts the container bottom.

That’s it!

Multi EZ Wick Setter Instructions

Set-up:
1. Place the Multi EZ Wick Setter in your container. Loosen thumbscrews and allow wick tube magnets to rest on the bottom of your container.
2. Push each collar down as far as they will go and tighten thumbscrews. (Do not over tighten)

Your tool is now set up for your containers.

Operation:
Prepare your wicks by applying the adhesive of your choice to the bottom of your wick tabs. We recommend wick stickums, a product available from your supplier.
1. Insert a wick into the bottom of each wick tube. The magnet will hold the wicks in place while positioning the tool in your container.
2. Place the EZ Wick Setter in the container. While holding the EZ Wick Setter firmly and squarely on the container, depress each handle, setting the wicks in your container. Note: It is not necessary to use excessive force when setting the wicks.
3. Repeat these three simple steps for each container. That’s it! Your wicks are now perfectly spaced and seated in your container.

Note: Some knobs fit loosely on the stainless wick tubes due to varying manufacturing conditions. If your knobs fit too loosely, just place one wrap of tape around the top of the tube and place the knob over it.
